Amanda Shafer, born on February 11, 1981, is an American film and television actress. The Maryland native is known for the intensity and honesty of her performances that highlight her drive to explore and showcase human nature in its rawest form. Amanda has always loved acting but only started pursuing it as a career later in life after the sudden loss of her husband in 2016. She knew there was no time like the present to make her dreams a reality.
Amanda always loved the arts and in addition to acting has pursued music, visual art, and writing. In her younger years she focused on music, playing the clarinet through high school. She graduated from the University of Maryland in 2005 with a BA in studio art and went on to have a successful career as a professional baker, making artistic cake creations in the bakery she owned. She was featured on a 2005 pilot called Wedding Cake Wars on WEtv.
Maryland is still her home where she lives with her boyfriend and their four kids.
